A Safe Space

After-school writer's club proves a fertile ground for an unlikely three-way friendship. Lamont - "fat boy" to his classmates- a closet braniac; Deidre, who hides behind her smile and Tommy, the only white student in ninth grade, all struggle to fit in. But with the support of their friendship and the sharing of their writing, each learns to accept who they are and what makes them special.
