Dahlia had the "sight" and could see things other people couldn't. She was six when she first saw the Boneman. He had come for her grandma. After that her grandpa, Paps, moved in with them. But when the Boneman came for Paps, it was too much for her to bear and she outwitted him. But the Boneman had to take someone and Dahlia corrected her mistake just in time to save her pregnant Aunt Eunice and see her Paps safely by her grandma's side once again.
