Almost a Hanging

In 1838 a young George Erskine heads for the California goldfields, however he finds more money in making equipment for the miners. But trouble comes when the miners claim his sluices don't work and threaten to string him up. When George inspects his work he finds a salmon that plugged up the sluice - the salmon's sentence, death by frying.
