Before the Week's Through

In the 1930s, during the Oklahoma dust bowl, Sarah's daddy leaves to find work in California. Her Ma say he'll be back before the week is through because things ain't any better anywhere else. But weeks go by and only a postcard arrives saying how much he misses everyone. And in her Ma's eyes there is a softness for them, for the future and something like hope hangs on.
