Story Summary
The Calloways, the Honeycutts and the Grubers all grow peppers hot enough to start a fire, but Pa Pluckett, one of the best and kindest farmers in the valley, can only grow peppers so mild they're just about worthless. That is until his wife and children pay a secret visit to Granny-Witch who tells them exactly what needs to be done.
