How to Transform an Everyday, Ordinary Hoop Court into a Place of Higher Learning and You at the Podium.

While all of his friends are great students, a young Mexican-American sees basketball as his best chance. But when he convinces his father to drop him at Muni Gym in Balboa Park where the best basketball is played, he is confronted by an all black, hostile crowd. In time, he is finally allowed in the game, but basketball is secondary to what he learns from those around him about the humans that live beneath their harsh exteriors and circumstances.
