Story Summary
Tom and Meg Connelly couldn't grow anything but potatoes on their rock-strewn farm and when the drought hit, they couldn't even do that. So Meg set out a bit of milk and a wee morsel of bread each evening for the leprechaun hoping for "a bit of luck in our old age". The leprechaun, used to everyone being after his gold, found the couple kindhearted and their request refreshing and granted their wish in abundance.
