Being at risk for type 2 diabetes, Marla knew she needed more exercise. The perfect opportunity came when Marla's favorite teacher asked her to join her in the Day of the Dead bike ride. But Marla didn't have and couldn't afford a bicycle. Luckily a local bike co-op let her work off the cost of a used bike allowing Marla to proudly ride alongside her teacher.
