The Chosen One

On the way to the Gusler's place to get some help for hog-killing day, Ben has to pass the Macedonia grave yard. When he sees one of the Gusler women along the way he is relieved until she mysteriously disappears. Ben finds out later she was long dead Abigail Gusler. But the Guslers, the only book learnin' family in the county, tell Ben that means he has been chosen to become a teacher.
