The Crusaders

After his parents are killed in an accident, young Pod is raised by his bachelor grandfather and every Saturday they head for the train station to watch the Cannonball come through. When the local school teacher, Miss Beth, informs them that the Cannonball is being replaced by a new streamliner, they scheme to have her ride on its maiden voyage. But one thing leads to another and soon Miss Beth has a new husband and Pod has a new mother.
