The Face in the Rafters

A father loves to tell his children the story about the face in the rafters that appeared to he and his wife during their stay in a remote cabin on their honeymoon. He claims that the face predicted the time of both of their deaths but that they swore and oath to each other not to reveal the dates to anyone. The mother hates the story and claims it isn't true but the only thing the kids know is that their parents are still alive and perhaps have simply not come to their predicted dates.
