Story Summary
Hubert desperately wants to go to school down in the valley with the other kids but he has to earn the money for his own school cloths. Picking apples for Mr. Honeycutt seems the perfect solution until Mr. Honeycutt pays Hubert with a goat. But the goat turns out to be a blessing in disguise.
