The Griffin's Flight

After the mother griffin is slain, Ambrose the stable boy finds her unhatched egg. Secretly hatching and raising the baby griffin, he soon realizes the villagers fear an adult griffin and, amid threats of slaughter, he mounts her back, buries his head in her mane and then away to the land of griffins.
