Story Summary
Each fall merchants descended on the tiny, organized town of Aberborg with their wares. But one year, one merchant sat on an empty carpet claiming to be an ideas peddler. He sold only a single whim the first day but by the second day, he was selling notions, impressions, fancies and every other manor of ideas. Then, as quickly as he had come, he was gone, but the tiny, organized town of Aberborg by the sea was never quite the same.
