Story Summary
A wealthy farmer and a wealthy merchant were arguing about whether luck or careful planning made a person rich. As a test they picked a poor but honest miller and first gave him 100 pesos and some time later when nothing had changed in his life, they gave him an old piece of lead and wished him good luck. A year later they were surprised to find him a rich and prosperous man though their initial question remained unanswered.
