Story Summary
Each spring young George's papa would get out his peddler's cart, leave the farm to George, his eleven siblings and his mama and head out to sell goods along the roads of western New York. But in the Spring of 1859, he invited his son to accompany him. Thrilled to heaven to be going on the fabled Spring selling trip, George quickly learns than one purpose of the trip is to transport runaway slaves along the underground railroad!
