The Pirate King

Katie's dad worked on a ferry boat and came home daily with tales of the Pirate King, a feral cat that ruled the wharf. Until one night Katie's dad brought home the Pirate King himself, badly scarred by a run-in with a seagull. Katie met with marginal success taming him, but in the end the Pirate King felt the pull of the wharf.
