The River of Ice

Young Eliza had always been treated well by her masters, but when hard times came that didn't prevent them from deciding to sell her. Realizing that she would be separated from her two-year-old daughter she decides to follow the North Star across the Ohio river to freedom. Unfortunately the river was only partially frozen and nearly impossible to cross, especially with a baby in your arms.
