The Trust of a Dolphin

By stretching the truth just a little, twelve year old Matthew is accepted into a summer "swim with the dolphins" research program. He swims like a dolphin himself, even with the defective hip that makes him feel so awkward on land. His fellow participants, all much older, while not mean, are not very inclusive until they are awed by Matthew's ability to bond so quickly with one of the dolphins while none of them seem to be able to make contact.
