The Wish Ring

An old woman treated kindly by a farmer gives the farmer a wish-ring which contains one wish. Though the ring is switched by a thieving jeweler, the farmer and his wife prosper, always holding off making a wish until they really need it. They die, old and peaceable, and are buried with the ring still on the farmer's finger.
