The Wolf of Thunder Mountain

The old man had lived on the mountain for years, matching wits with the wolf. But the summer his grandson came to visit, the boy found the old wolf dead in a trap. The death of his old rival let the years catch up with him, leaving him to think that maybe it was time, after all, to move to the city with his daughter.
