April Rose in Charge

Twelve-year-old April Rose assures her mom that she can manage the sheep farm while her mom is at a meeting. After all she has two of the best sheep dogs around and she's brought in the sheep a million times. But not during a torrential rain storm with flash flooding and not with a baby lamb trapped in a brush patch in near pitch-black conditions. A great young hero story.
