Cradle Song

After Ben's family were all killed in a fire, Ben came to live with his new family. Although he was younger than his new brother, he grew faster, became more muscular and seemed to fear nothing about the forest that enveloped their house. In a surprise ending, the author, subtly reveals that Ben was an orphaned wolf that would eventually have to leave to return to his pack.
