Story Summary

A lovely fictionalized story of the childhood of a very determined young girl named Nellie Mooney (ie Nellie McClung) written with flash forwards to the important women that she would become. In 1914, with the help of Nellie Mclung, Canadian women earned the right to vote. In 1929, she was one of the "famous five" who led the legal challenge to have women declared persons thereby making them elegible for office as Canadian Senators.
