Maggie, the Farmer's Daughter

Maggie grew up listening to her father's stories and in time became a story teller herself. Her mother and sisters thought her daft until a young king said that he would wed the women who could make the long road to his castle shorter. Maggie alone knew the secret and as she walked the king along the road she spun story after story making a long road short and a king's heart sing.
