Story Summary
During the day Angelina Mabel O'Brien is just the colored help to Miz Tillson but on weekend's her voice rings out from the colored church "like rain on parched earth". After a confrontation with Miz Tillson, Angelina disappears and next time she is seen in town she is lead singer with Le Jazz, a jazz band from up north come to play a summer festival.
