Story Summary
On her fifteenth birthday Claire inherits her grandmother's toy dragon, Roddy. Thinking it a rather silly inheritance she soon learns that Roddy is anything but a toy when he appears ceiling tall with golden scales. And even more surprising, she learns that Roddy has been guarding the women of her family for 2000 years and Roddy is now her personal guardian, not to mention tour guide, offering her breakfast with a centaur - in Ireland!
