Only Up From Here

Fourteen year old Kareem is sent away to London by his mother to flee the endless war between her country, Eritrea, and Ethiopia. Though he makes the dangerous journey safely, he finds London a hostile and lonely place. But, he is determined to work hard so that he can bring his mother out of Eritrea someday.
