Snow

In 1142 England, though Matilda is rightful heir to the throne, it has been usurped by her cousin Stephen who now lays siege to Oxford Castle. To end the siege and save her followers, Matilda devises a courageous scheme to escape the castle during a snow storm camouflaged in a white ermine coat hoping to join her brother whose forces have gathered across the river. She would later be vindicated by her son King Henry II, the founder of the Plantagenet Dynasty.
