Time of Proving

Arimu, of the Wind People, is halfway through her solitary Year of Proving when she finds a half-man, half-bull wounded and exhausted from having escaped his captors. After tending his wounds, she realizes that, coming from the legendary veiled city, he is completely devoid of survival skills, and he in turn realizes that she knows nothing or poetry, music and art.
